8 March: we celebrated Women's Day
At the events of the Gender Equality Committee of the Municipality of Veria, on women in entrepreneurship.
8 March is International Women's Day, and our cooperative was invited to take part in the 2025 events of the Gender Equality Committee of the Municipality of Veria: an exhibition of paintings by Ms Vasiliki Sidiropoulou, a photography exhibition by Mr Stergios Zygoulianos on the women of the area through the years, women's volunteer groups, and women in entrepreneurship, like us.
The event closed with songs by the choir of the Union of Parents and Guardians of the Schools of the Municipality of Veria.
Since the dawn of humanity, we women have fought for a better world – for ourselves, our families and the generations to come.
We claim equal opportunities in work, in society, in knowledge and in progress. We keep hoping and fighting to end violence, abuse, belittlement, unemployment, inadequate education and every form of injustice against us.
We owe it to our daughters and granddaughters, because we borrowed it from our mothers and grandmothers!
